We think in generations, not in quarterly figures. We are committed to sustainability, not only in our services but also in how we work. We attach great importance to using resources responsibly while also being involved in social projects.

Resource conservation
Since 2014, we have been pursuing an energy management system based on the ISO 50001 standard, which commits us to gradually optimising our energy consumption. Unavoidable residual emissions are offset with 100% Swiss resources in the Oberallmeindkorporation forest in Schwyz. We have assumed a pioneering role when it comes to protecting the environment. In recent years we have consistently aligned our operations with the requirements of ISO 14001 and structured all essential processes accordingly.

The Naef GROUP provides apprenticeship
The Naef GROUP has been providing apprenticeship again since 2023. In August 2023, Jamie Wagner started his 3-year apprenticeship as a commercial employee EFZ. Ari Saqipi completed his additional apprenticeship as a heating installer in August 2025. In the summer of 2024, our long-term employee, Jannik Paul, has started the same additional apprenticeship.

Standing still is not in Naef GROUP's nature. We are continuously evolving, not only in our rehabilitation processes, but also in mobility and the use of our work equipment. We carefully assess new possibilities and adopt them wherever they create genuine and measurable value in day-to-day operations.
That is why four teams at our Villeneuve VD branch are now testing the renewable diesel fuel HVO100. It is being used both in compatible vehicles and in our diesel-powered compressors.

Around 80 to 90 per cent less CO₂
What HVO100 is – and what it delivers
HVO stands for “Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil”. The designation “100” means that the renewable fuel is used in its pure form rather than merely blended with fossil diesel. In approved diesel engines, HVO100 can generally be used without technical modifications.
According to our supplier volenergy, HVO100 can reduce CO₂ emissions by around 80 to 90 per cent across the fuel's entire life cycle compared with conventional diesel. HVO100 still produces emissions during combustion. We therefore deliberately describe it as a fuel with a significantly better climate footprint, rather than as emission-free.
The pilot project enables us to gather valuable experience in daily use. Among other things, we are monitoring practical suitability, consumption, reliability and fuel availability. If HVO100 proves successful with our teams, vehicles and compressors in French-speaking Switzerland, we plan to introduce it gradually for compatible equipment in German-speaking Switzerland as well.
This allows us to reduce the use of fossil resources and consistently advance sustainability across our operations. It is a principle we live by throughout the company, with innovative processes, durable solutions and the responsible use of our resources.
