Not only old, simple plastic underfloor heating installed prior to 1990 can cause problems. Even modern systems are getting old. However, the effects are not the same as with simple plastic pipes, where brittleness plays a major role. It is therefore not necessary to re-coat multi-layer composite pipes. This is because the carrier material is, from a physical perspective, much more durable due to its metallic core. However, due to the operational load and metallic parts in the circuit, deposits will form in the system after a few years. The resulting layer of corrosion can impair optimal heat distribution. Special «HAT System light» renovation
If the evaluation of the analysis reveals the need for action, we will show you the best options to solve your issues sustainably. After 20 years, we recommend using our “HAT system light”. In contrast to our regular HAT system, we finish off the process with cleaning and do not apply a new inner coating. This allows us to employ our original system, which has been in use since 1999, more cost-effectively. The pipes are fully cleaned by finely polishing the inner pipe walls without using any abrasive techniques. This method guarantees that lines are fully functional again, which is not the case with a flush, for example.

Modern floor heating distributors have the advantage that they can be expanded. For example, actuators and floor heating actuators can be retrofitted, which, in conjunction with sensors in the individual rooms, ensure that temperatures are regulated efficiently.
And this is how it works
An actuator is placed on the handwheel to regulate flow. This is connected to an actuator which communicates wirelessly with the room’s thermostat. This thermostat returns the measured temperature to the actuator, which then controls the flow depending on the programming in order to always ensure an optimal temperature.
